Camp Kanata’s 2016 Mother-Daughter Weekend was a fun-filled weekend in Wake Forest, NC. Mothers and daughters engaged in all sorts of camp activities as well as an exciting drum circle. Katie led the mothers and daughters in two yoga classes with some fun partner poses and a living mandala. The scenery could not be beat as it was overlooking the lake. Katie also held a Communication Building workshop that focused on tools to use at home to open up the lines of communication, recognizing when to “take a break,” and understanding each other better. Overall, it was an exciting weekend to be a part of and heart warming to see all of the mothers and daughters enjoying their time together.
