In working with adolescents, I find it important to be a trusting adult in their life and provide an environment where they will feel comfortable to open up. I take a low-pressure approach and show attentiveness towards their interests and hobbies. With teens, I engage in talk therapy as well as mindfulness and yoga. I use supportive, behavioral, and cognitive behavioral therapy methods. I am approachable and open-minded when working with adolescents and their families. I feel strongly about including parents and caregivers in our work together. I am able to provide in person sessions as well as teletherapy sessions in North Carolina and South Carolina.
